Rebecca Edgar is a British artist currently based in Lincoln. Some of her practice has involved exploring painting and portraiture, stating that exploring the uses of paint is a passion within her practice.  She is interested in trying to capture a likeness and essence of a person, and to experiment with both colour and style when applying paint.

She has recently moved away from traditional self-portrait work and is instead investigating different ways of using paint to portray the self. Most recently, her work has progressed to using the body literally in her work . She has tried to do this through making body prints, experimenting with different materials and backgrounds to print on.
